Skiing by Care-bear 10(2a)

Skiing is maybe my favorite thing to do. When I get on the ski lift I feel so excited. I hear the safety bar come down with a clang and I'm off. The snow stings my face as I swing up the mountain. Looking down I can always pick out my cousins with their pink and purple ski suits from the eighties. When I get to the top of the mountain the frosty air makes my nose red as a cherry. As I race down the mountain I feel like I'm flying. The Only sound that I hear is the swish of my skis as they turn in the snow. I feel Happy and free.

The "ski suits from the eighties" is a great detail! I love "frosty air" and the simile--"as red as a cherry"--too.

In the last two lines, don't capitalize "only" or "happy"--and this will be great!!
